Working with students at universities around the world to stimulate discussions about agriculture.
The next generation of scientists will play a pivotal role in overcoming agricultural challenges. Through the Symposia Series, Corteva Agriscience works directly with the best and brightest students at universities around the world to stimulate discussions about the future of agriculture. Our objective is to arm future scientists with key organizational and management skills and expose them to a diversity of career opportunities in agriculture.
The Corteva Symposia Series is a global network of student-organized and driven scientific symposia, hosted by leading academic and research institutions.
The series provides opportunities for the next generation of scientists to plan, host and attend events, tailored to their areas of interest, which include experts from the public and private sectors.
Each symposium may include presentations by leading agricultural and plant science researchers, student presentations, workshops, poster sessions, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities.
Sessions are typically free, accessible to the general public and often offered via webinar. Registration information is available at the webpage for each symposium.
Symposia are primarily funded by Corteva; however, student organizers are encouraged to solicit additional sponsorships from their departments, universities, and other organizations.
Since 2008:
30-40 events held each year
150 events at 60 institutions in 16 countries on six continents
30,000 estimated in-person participants, plus many more through live streams and replays
